Mayfair 101 appoint new CFO, senior finance exec Michael Divens

Australian-founded, London-based investment and corporate advisory group Mayfair 101 is today announcing the appointment of Michael Divens as the Group’s Chief Financial Officer.

Mr Divens is a senior financial executive with over 15 years’ experience as a Chief Financial Officer in the funds management, professional services and financial services sectors.

A chartered accountant by training, Michael began his career in Scotland with one of the big four accounting firms, EY, before moving to finance roles in the health and education sectors. After moving to Australia in 2001, Michael’s career progressed into a senior financial management role at another big four firm, KPMG.

Prior to joining Mayfair 101, Michael was Chief Financial Officer at River Capital, a leading Melbourne-based funds manager.

Mayfair 101 founder and Managing Director, James Mawhinney, commented, “2019 has been Mayfair 101’s most exciting year yet, following the launch of Mayfair Platinum in July and confirming our purchase of Dunk Island earlier this month [September]. We are delighted to have Michael on board to lead on the continued diversification and optimisation of our investment offerings.”

Speaking on his appointment, Mr Divens said, “Mayfair 101 is one of the most dynamic financial services players in the Australian market. My priority as CFO will be to continue to champion the innovative strategic investments that have propelled Mayfair 101 to become a market leader.”

Michael was appointed as Mayfair 101’s CFO in September 2019.

He is a senior finance executive with over 15 years’ experience as a Chief Financial Officer in the Funds Management, Professional Services and Financial Services sectors.

Moving to Australia in 2001, Michael's career progressed into a senior financial management role with KPMG before specialising in Financial Services and Funds Management.

Most recently before Mayfair 101, Michael was Chief Financial Officer at River Capital, a leading fund manager based in South Yarra, Melbourne.
